Since the event that happened with Proxy.org, I was thinking that If I don’t list my site back into proxy listing sites, I will lose numerous amount of traffic to my site.
If you are thinking about listing back into proxy listing sites or you are already listed but worried about the bot traffic, I have an idea. The plan is to verify all the traffic coming from these proxy listing sites by putting a logical verification form on the landing page.
To be clear, whenever someone visits yoursite from proxy.org listing, they need to verify themselves by answering to a random logical question before gaining access to the proxy.
The questions could be:
- What colour is sea?
- What is 2+2?
- What colour is left?
- USA is a country or a city?
Most of the people can answer those daily life questions easily.
This is just an idea for me at the moment and it will take a little time to develop it. I’m going to release the code for free on my blog after the development is completed.

Since the number of bolded listings is that big you need a top listing ($250 a month) to get some good traffic from proxy.org. I think there are much better and cheaper sources to get good (US) traffic.
I agree, topsites are the MOST cheapest source of traffic. Believe me!
