Hehe, the title is funny. One of the potential advertiser of Proxy.org reported that he was warned by Adsense that he was generating non-human traffic to his site. The guy that is claiming to be scammed checked his logs by Baron and found out that the non-human (bots) traffic was being forwarded to him by proxy.org.
After researching, I found that Baron had already fixed issue from his site and he claims that it’s impossible to attack the list anymore.
The bots are using different IPs to access the sites and clicking the google adsense.
This sick cow cannot face the competition. In order to protect yourself you should follow the following list:
- If you feel that your site is getting in-human traffic immediately report the issue to Adsense team
- Check your logs and block the IPs of the bots
- If the bots are in huge amount take down adsense from your website
As I get more information about this issue, I will be posting it on the blog.

You’ve got popular and finished your goals for your proxy site but now you MUST maintain the quality. Coming across VERY popular topsites, some of them are broken or hacked.
Since quality is one of the thing your visitor requires, you must maintain it otherwise, gradually you will lose visitors and one day the site will die.
This is a little rant to all those proxy topsites, web based proxy and proxy list owner to monitor your site daily. Daily, first thing you should do is check that your forms are working. If there is an error on your site, you should take down that particular page and replace it with simple offline message.
That is all for now.

Proxy sites are sold for BIG profit. The initial investment for developing a GOOD proxy sites is near to $200-300 and ONLY 8-10 hours per month is required. The 8-10 hours per month is required for adding the proxy to topsites, monetization the site and monitoring the site (server, revenue and small developments).

How to value your proxy site?
Like other sites, proxy sites are valued majorly with revenue and traffic. Apart from the revenue and traffic, the buyer does look at the design and the features of the site. Additional features and beautiful design increases the value of the proxy site.
Let’s consider an example of a unnamed popular proxy site:
A beautiful design from a good designer would be worth: 100-150 USD
Coding with script integration: 60 USD
Unique visitors per day: 2000
Revenue: 100 USD per month
Server load checker and SSL additional feature: $120
$200 for the design and the script integration is a fair price with your profit. I bought adspot on 1000 unique visitors proxy site for 25 USD per month and 2000 unique visitors adspot would cost 40 to 50USD. Multiply cost of the unique visitors with the adspot revenue to estimate value of the visitors, 40 USD x6(months) = 240 USD. Revenue is 100 USD per month. Most of the times revenue is multiplied with 12-24 months BUT since it’s a proxy site, multiply the revenue with 6 months. 6 months estimation is due to the fact that proxy sites are blocked by the schools and institutions which loses traffic and revenue. Buyer doesn’t feel safe to pay for 12 months revenue. 100 USD x 6 = 600 USD. Additional features is one of the factor by which your proxy value increases as told before, 120 USD for additional features is worth the price unless you want more profit.
Design: 200 USD
Unique Visitors: 240 USD
Revenue: 600 USD
Additional features: 120 USD
The proxy sites value estimates to 1160 USD. This should be a BIN however your reserve should be around 700-800 USD.
If the site is sold for 1160 USD, the buyer would just cover the cost within 8 months or even in 6 months if he puts more effort in the site.
Where to sell your proxy site?
After you have estimated the value of your proxy site, you need a good place to find correct buyer. There are numerous forums available with marketplace to sell your website. You can list your sites at:

Exactly, I’ve wrote a lot about proxies management these days. I’m out of ideas right now.
I would like YOU, the readers to post comments and ask me to write about anything related to proxy management, monetization and traffic generation.

I posted about my site on SP. One of the user identified malicious code relating to mystabcounter.info . I was not aware of the problem since I don’t keep virus notifications turned off. I just scan my computer daily.
Just to notify all the visitors who had problems accessing the website, I have removed the code from ProxyBucket.
It’s now safe to access ProxyBucket.
